My husband and I used to use a so-called "granny cart" 15 years ago for shopping on foot when we didn't have a car. We're back to that again, hoofing or riding the bus wherever we go here in town. My husband, who is not handy, put the Narita Trading NTCoo1-RD Jumbo shopping cart together quickly and was impressed with how sturdy it seemed. After using it just once, however, one of the wheels warped, and that is how he found out that when going up porch or other stairs, high curbs and such, extra care must be taken. He was able to return the wheel to its proper alignment--I think he used standard pliers, but just be forewarned, this cart--the wheels, I mean--isn't like a baby stroller; you have to go slow; otherwise, in the weeks that we've been using it for grocery shopping, laundry, errand running with are bags and coats in it (we're in Colorado) it has performed fine. We are getting a second one as a back up, and for me to use along with the other when my husband and I have large shopping trips to take.
